  PNC-1G : Para Nuclear Counter  (GM Tube Based)

Para Nuclear Counter Model PNC-1G is a micro controller based, economical, stand alone, portable mains operated instrument for Nuclear Counting application. It is a versatile instrument can be programmed as preset timer. 

Model PNC-1G, uses GM tube as nuclear radiation detector. Necessary electronics & high voltage supply are housed in the equipment. Coaxial cable with BNC connector connects the GM tube to Model PNC-1G.

Para Nuclear Counter Model PNC-1G can store 1000 readings in a non-volatile memory. These readings can be downloaded to PC via RS-232 interface or printed via parallel interface. These readings can also be scanned on LCD display after the counting experiment.

Model PNC-1G, is ideally suited for Nuclear Experiments carried out in Universities and colleges. It is also useful for radiation counting for Health Physics applications in radioisotope laboratories, nuclear reactors, nuclear power plants, nuclear medicine centers etc.

End window GM tube Model 712 or equivalent can be supplied along with a planchet holder as an accessory for Model PNC-1G. Any other End Window GM tube can also be supplied as an option.

Lead Shield with door assembly is available as optional accessory for low level counting applications. It houses the GM Tube and planchet holder. Shield dimensions are development on the selected GM Tube.

  PNC-Alpha : Para Nuclear Counter  (ZnS Tube Based) 

 


Para Alpha Counter Model PNC-Alpha is a micro-controller based, economical, stand alone, mains operated instrument for Alpha Counting application. Model PNC-Alpha, uses ZnS(Ag) alpha scintillator, is protected from stray light by a thin layer of aluminized myler sheet and is mounted on photo multiplier tube as nuclear radiation detector. Necessary electronics & high voltage supply are housed in the equipment. Coaxial cable with BNC connector connects the Alpha Detector to Model PNC-Alpha.

Para Alpha Counter Model PNC-Alpha can store 1000 readings in a non-volatile memory. These readings can be downloaded to PC via RS-232 interface or printed via parallel interface. These readings can also be scanned on LCD display after the counting experiment.

Alpha Counter, in the standard form is supplied as a preset timer with 6 digit scaler. However, it is possible to supply it with modified software to include preset counts, CPS/CPM modes to suit to your requirement.

A Drawer Assembly to hold 1" dia or 2" dia filter paper is supplied as standard accessory. The detector mounts upside down on the drawer assembly such that myler face of the detector is just 2 mm above the sample filter paper.

 ALSCIN : Para Alpha Scintillation Counter

 


Para Alpha Scintillation Counter Model ALSCIN is a micro-controller based, economical, stand alone, battery as well as mains operated instrument for Alpha Counting applications.ALSCIN uses ZnS(Ag) alpha scintillator covered with aluminized myler, mounted on photo multiplier tube as nuclear radiation detector. Necessary electronics and high voltage supply are housed in the instrument.  

ALSCIN is useful for Alpha counting in Health Physics applications in radioisotope laboratories, nuclear reactors, nuclear power plants, environmental survey labs, etc.

ALSCIN uses micro controller for counting, menu display and key board functions. Pulse processing electronics generates the TTL shaped pulses fed as input to the counter. Typical Alpha Counting efficiency is better than 25%.

ALSCIN has 8x2 line LCD menu display with back-lit facility. Counts upto 999999 are displayed at the end of preset time. Timer can be set in Auto/Manual Mode. During Auto mode, ALSCIN counts the pulses for 1 minute time interval and then displays on LCD. In Manual mode of operation, Start/Stop key sets the start and end of counting time. Reset Key enables user to clear the counts taken in earlier run.

ALSCIN is supplied with a drawer assembly which enables user to keep 1" or 2" dia samples under the scintillator.

  PRIA-1 : PC Based Para RadioImmunoAssay Counter  

 

 

Para Electronics offers PC based RIA counter Model PRIA-1 for measurement of in-vitro gamma radiations in nuclear medicine applications.

PRIA-1, Para RadioImmunoAssay Counter is a micro-controller based, economical, mains operated instrument for measurement of in-vitro gamma radiations in nuclear medicine applications. Among the in-vitro applications of radioisotopes, RadioImmunoAssay has already been established as versatile and unique for variety of diagnostic procedures.

PRIA –1 set up, consists of a detector and counting unit. The detector is a well type NaI(Tl) nuclear scintillation detector of size 1.5” dia x 2“ thick having a well of 0.75” dia x 1.5“ deep; optically coupled to a Photo Multiplier Tube sealed in a light tight package. It is surrounded by 15 mm thick lead to shield the detector from external/background radiations. The Read Out electronics is housed in an elegant ABS plastic enclosure. Coaxial cable with BNC connector connects the detector unit to the counting unit. This helps assembly, testing and maintenance of the instrument simple. 

Windows 98 or XP based data transfer and data reduction software SAPRICAL is supplied with PRIA-1 (optional). Data transferred through RS-232 cable is processed by the data reduction facility of SAPRICAL to carry out the calculations for standard assays and to plot the necessary graphs. It also stores the patients' data and finally generates the patient report.

PRIA-1, is also available as 'Two Channel RIA Counter' to perform simultaneous counting of I-125 and Co-57 for measuring double labeled assays such as Vitamin B-12 and Folate. Assisted by data reduction and plotting software MAPRICAL.  Simultaneous counting in both the channels is achieved which saves the evaluation time.

PRIA-1, is a very useful diagnostic tool, needed in every small, medium or large-scale pathological laboratory for clinical evaluation of the vitally important biological ingredients such as hormones, vitamins and steroids for early diagnosis of various diseases.

For dual channel RIA counter PRIA-1 (set for two channel) with MAPRICAL software will be offered.

  PACASC : PC Based Para RadioImmunoAssay Counter  

 

 

Para Alpha Counting System Model PACASC is Industrial PC based stand alone mains operated system for Alpha radiation counting on disc type filter paper samples or planchets of 38mm dia. Model PACASC is with automatic sample changer to count samples up to 10 nos in each run. Model PACASC is with Menu based touch screen for ease of unattended operation for pre-programmed sample positioning, counting and report generation.

Model PACASC has three modes for operation, viz. SETUP, RUN, and REPORT. In SETUP mode user can set various operating parameters for the system. In RUN mode the system counts alpha radiation from the samples with set operational parameters. In REPORT mode user can generate reports in predefined formats for records storing and printing. Sample Carousel for holding sample/planchets is made from high quality stainless steel. Stepper motors are incorporated for accurate sample changing / positioning for counting.

Model PACASC is ideally suited for health physics labs, environmental survey labs, nuclear power plants etc where large numbers of samples are handled for routine counting and records.
